schedule7th Oct 15

Over 65 companies in the Black Country and West Midlands have now taken on Engineering Apprentices that started August 2015 with Sandwell Training Association.

At our dedicated engineering centre in West Bromwich, 74 new Apprentices started full time on 27th July this year, in all disciplines of Engineering.

They spent the first six weeks full time covering health & safety, drawings and technical information, then moved on to their chosen field. They will spend 1 day in centre, 4 days in company.

These will cover machining (turning and milling), fitting, welding and fabrication (MMA, MIG and TIG),  and maintenance on both mechanical and electrical.

Due to our continued growth STA are now looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineering Assessor in preparation for our 2016 accademic year.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Assessor/Instructor/Tutor of Mechanical Engineering. The successful  Individual is expected to be HNC/HND or equivalent in an Engineering occupational area, with at least 2 years’ recent work experience. Apply with C.V. to Ian.kane@sandwelltraining.com

If you would like to visit our centre, or to discuss this further with the opportunity to take on one of our Apprentices or for us to train one of yours, please contact Ian Kane on 01384 566981.
